The Intersection of Geometry and Tradition

LIGHT-PAPER is a booklet that records, in a diary-like manner, the ongoing practice of making lighting with paper. Rather than presenting a fixed recipe, it simply traces one practitioner’s path, leaving room for each reader’s own transformation of practice.

Stacking Chair Woodは、スタッキングの椅子のタイポロジーを拡張することを主題にしています。出発点はフランクフルトチェアなどにみられるタイポロジーをスタッキング椅子に接続することです。単純な形状の部材と各接合部が材に対して水平垂直のみの関係でありながら、優れた強度を実現しているこのタイポロジーは、 スタッキング可能な椅子の大きな要件である強度を持ちながら、シンプルな部材構成と、生産しやすさへとつながります。

Takumi Fukushima
Takumi Fukushima (b. 1998, Kanagawa) graduated from the Interior Design program in the Department of Industrial Design at Musashino Art University. He joined office furniture manufacturer Kokuyo Co., Ltd. in 2021, and began working with Jin Kuramoto Design in 2026. He captures the hidden "unknowns" found in mundane life, weaving them into the fabric of the everyday by giving them tangible form.
